SPECIFICATION

Material: 100% Technora Yarns, PU coating
Color & Dope Dyeing: Dope dyed Black. Solution or dope dyeing is an innovative technique that melts the black pigment with the polymer in the spinning process. Black dope-dyed yarns offer exceptional colorfastness and greatly enhance UV resistance for Technora Aramid fibers, leading to the extended use of Technora Braided Cords.
Decomposition Temperature: 932 °F / 500 °C
Melting Point: Technora fibers don't melt.
Elongation: at work: <1%. at break: <4%
Diameter: 1.0mm~3.6mm. Measured by hand. Measurement deviation exists.
Splicing availability: 600lb or 1.8mm and above. [NOTE] 200lb and 300lb are too thin to be spliced.
MBS_Minimum Breaking Strength: 200lb~2200lb, Tensile strength on the label. The average strength at which the new and unused cord will break when tested in laboratory conditions in accordance with Cordage Institute Standard Test Methods. The load is applied in parallel to the cord and slowly increases until the cord breaks.
WLL_Working Load Limit: Unlike the tensile strength testing in the lab, in practical uses, various factors would impact or reduce the strength of any rope/cord, including knots, abrasion, humidity, UV, former use and care, etc. To ensure safe uses, it's essential to adopt a safety margin for the cord/rope strength, which leads to a Working Load Limit (WLL).
Recommended Safety Factor: 5:1 or 20%. The Working Load Limit (WLL) is determined by dividing the tensile strength by a safety factor. To assure the longevity of the cord and maintain a comfortable margin for safe use, a 5:1 safety factor (20% of the tensile strength) is adopted and recommended for emma kites Technora cord for normal use.
Packaging: On compact spools. The used spools vary with different cord types and lengths. Easy to carry around the person. Fast to deploy when needed. Always keep the cord well-organized for storage.

FEATURES

  • Black Technora Braided Cords by EMMA KITES, made of 100% Black Technora yarn (Para-aramid) developed by Teijin Limited, enhanced by PU coating, providing 200lb ~ 2200lb high strength, to deliver outstanding performance for outdoor applications, to advance your exploration in the wild, to complete challenging aerospace projects.
  • PU COATING ENHANCEMENT! Benefiting from the protection of PU(Polyurethane) coating, braided Technora significantly builds up its tolerance to UV damage. An effective solution to the fact that Aramid is inherently sensitive to UV damage. It ensures that Technora can to the most extent, keep its extraordinary durability and provide a long lifetime for outdoor use.
  • FLAME RESISTANT! Technora has incomparable thermal stability and can withstand extremely high temperatures. Technora cords do not melt, like other Aramids like Kevlar or Twaron. It just starts to decompose when temperatures reach 932 °F / 500 °C. Technora cords are your first choice to fulfill flame-resistant demands and for applications in high ambient temperatures, build shock lines, parachute systems for model rockets, or upgrade torch or lamp wicks.
  • RELIABLE SURVIVAL CORD! With the unique combination of excellent resistance to abrasions and heat, Braided Technora can be used as a versatile cord fiction-saw in an emergency, to self-escape from plastic zip ties, ropes, or tapes. It can cut through various materials, wood, plastic tubes, nylon, and polyester to help you complete abundant projects. When binding, fastening, or wrapping especially over sharp edges or coarse surfaces, braided Technora minimizes risks of unexpected snaps.
  • 8X STRONGER than STEEL! Light Technora cordages with high tensile strengths, are available in 200LBS to 2200LBS strength, and 1MM to 3.6MM diameter. On compact rolls for convenient carry-on; offer easy and fast deployment when needed. Multi-use tool for daily life; a must carry-on gear in your EDC kit. Uses are not limited to tent guylines, bear bagging, repairing, fishing assist lines, speargun shooting, snare wires, and trip lines.
